EVENTS
The One World One Environment exhibition at Mile End Park was officially opened by Joanna Lumley.
The exhibition showcased work by local children whose art highlighted the need to recycle materials and reduce waste. A series of environmental films made by the children ran alongside the exhibition. Children aged from five to 18 had been hard at work for months to create the exhibition.
Miss Lumley said: “I was so proud and thrilled to be invited to Mile End for this fabulous exhibition and stunning event. It was a complete eye-opener to see such skills and energy and application and affection. It was wonderful to see such a huge and enthusiastic turn-out.”
