Chisenhale Primary School
Latest piece of work with Chisenhale Primary School.
Pupils had weekly drama classes to develop their confidence and language skills.
They also learned all about filming to make video clips to create video clips. They had a go at being the camera person, the sound person, and the person to be interviewed.
Eastendtalking.org.uk
The EastEndTalking website was developed by and for children, to empower themselves with a voice, and showcase the variety of living, learning and working in the East End. Received 3 million hits last term.
Michael O'Meara and Webmaster Shane Anderson, developed this site with 5 primary schools in 2000, for the Humanities Education Centre in Tower Hamlets.
It is now the London Borough of Tower Hamlets official site for primary age children. Michael continues to coordinate this site.
LBGT
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) guide to resources and support groups available online. Originally launched in 2007 as part of the now defunct East End Eye website but now hosted on this site.
The guide aims to help Teachers understand and support students with LGBT issues, it also contains helpful resources to tackle homophobia and bullying in schools. These pages are also designed to provide a wide range of support groups to students who are gay, or think they might be, or for students who would like a better understanding of LGBT issues.
These include lists of support groups and information on LGBT History, Employment Issues, Religion, Health, Books, Resources and Parenting.
